Special Interests
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I enjoy having the opportunity to take care of patients at every stage of life.
I grew up within the healthcare industry in Portland, graduating as a Registered Nurse in 2003. For over a decade I worked as an acute care and home health RN in both the Providence and Legacy systems. During my time in acute care I was so inspired by my patients that it fueled my desire to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. My education took me to the Bay area where I graduated from San Francisco State University with an MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner. When my education was complete, I recognized a strong desire to return home to Portland and practice as a change agent at the preventative level of care in the communities I loved and lived in.
Today I'm at home in Portland and following my passion for healthcare. My most recent practice had a focus in Obstetrics and Women’s health that afforded me the time to pursue genuine relationships with families and individuals as their provider. I plan to do the very same thing here at Northwest Primary Care.
The three health tips I like to share with my patients are:
Personal Interests
In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my quirky wonderful family and friends. I also enjoy all that the beautiful Northwest has to offer, including hiking, swimming, running, biking, watching football, eating out, and drinking good beer and wine!
